The Diocese of Sheffield has made the switch to the communications platform MyPlan to support its team of mobile users, thanks to help from business communications provider, Fusion Communications.

They are a Church of England diocese working in South Yorkshire and the southern parts of the East Riding of Yorkshire which comprises church congregations, schools, chaplaincies and other organisations all united by our common Christian faith.

The team were introduced to MyPlan by Fusion whilst looking to replace their current mobile telecoms provider.

Lindsey-Jane Buxton, Director of Communications for the Diocese, said “It was easily the smoothest mobile contract change I have ever managed.”

MyPlan allows end users to connect, configure and control all of their estate through one simple interface giving them live information on how their users are utilising allowances. It also allows some automated controls to stop things like unexpected overspends, and giving full visibility of what is happening right now as well as how and where.

It’s not just the platform Lindsey-Jane was happy with – “I am delighted to share my experience of working with Fusion in the recent change we have made from a previous provider. They are very easy to communicate with responsive, open and with a genuine desire to provide a top quality service. They took the time to understand our specific needs and preferences, tailoring the new contract accordingly.”

Oliver Rowe, founder and CEO of Fusion Communications, said: “The benefits of making the switch to an industry disrupting platform like MyPlan have become even more apparent since the pandemic, as it provides businesses with far more information than they’ve ever had before allowing them to not only control what users can do, but also gives an insight into how they’re doing it – taking the conversation around savings beyond the simple cost of the tariff – it gives insight into the productivity of users too, whilst also allowing day to day functions to be completed quickly and efficiently and, more importantly, in real time.”

Lindsey continued “The transfer of our phone numbers was seamlessly executed, minimizing any disruption to our communication… I don’t hesitate to recommend Fusion as a mobile partner.”

Established in 2013, Fusion Communications manages the communications for 250 small to medium businesses, including Midlands Air Ambulance, Birmingham Royal Ballet and APC Technology Group PLC.

The business offers a variety of communications solutions, including business mobiles, hosted and unified communications, fixed line and secure device management.
